This past weekend had to have been one of the best weekends Snowmass has ever seen. The snow conditions are super and the powder is deep. Snow on Thursday night and Friday postponed the Women's World Cup Downhill on Friday and cancelled school for the valley kids. They were able to run the downhill on Saturday just before it started snowing again. Saturday night we kicked off the season with the first Bud Hi FI concert featuring Blues Traveler. And wow what a party and show it was! If that wasn't enough we woke up Sunday to 5" of new snow. Just enough to fill in the tracks from the day before. I try to keep track of the snow conditions from year to year and World Cup Weekend has in the past been consistant with great snow here in Aspen/Snowmass. So mark your calendars for next year and don't miss out on these great early winter conditons.
