United
Summer travelers can now take advantage of new nonstop flights between United's Los Angeles hub (LAX) and Aspen/Snowmass, CO (ASE). Beginning June 9 and continuing through September 3, three nonstop flights per week will be offered in both directions with the United Express regional jet service "explus." This new service offers first class seating and Economy Plus, which offers up to five more inches of legroom. The timing of these flights on peak weekend travel days will allow convenient weekend getaways in both directions throughout the summer.
Eastbound flights to Aspen/Snowmass will depart LAX every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening at 6:05 p.m. arriving into ASE at 9:13 p.m. Westbound flights will depart ASE on Fridays and Sundays at 8:00 p.m. arriving into LAX at 9:12 p.m. with an additional departure on Sundays from ASE at 7:30 a.m. arriving into LAX at 8:42 a.m.
United's new nonstop service* between Los Angeles and Aspen/Snowmass
NEW NONSTOP FLIGHTS Beginning December 15, 2006, United Express is going to offer three daily nonstops between Chicago / O'hare and Aspen/Snowmass, up from two daily nonstops offered last winter, on the schedules pasted below. The third daily trip out of Chicago is an 8:15 AM departure that arrives into ASE at 10:13 AM, allowing early risers from Chicago as well as most of the eastern seaboard the opportunity to enjoy nearly a full day of skiing upon their arrival. This new departure is also going to offer improved one-stop connections for our Brazilian skiers arriving from Sao Paulo. In the opposite direction, the new 4:30 PM departure from ASE will be the last flight out of ASE to offer connections to cities all across the East Coast. Also beginning December 15, United Express is going to offer second daily nonstop between Los Angeles and Aspen/Snowmass. Those schedules are also pasted below. The new daily 12:49 PM departure from LAX will offer ideal, new one-stop connections for our international guests arriving from Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, along with many other overseas markets from across the Pacific Rim. The new 10:10 AM nonstop from ASE to LAX will provide a nice alternative to waiting until 8:00 pm for the only daily nonstop to southern California previously offered from Aspen/Snowmass. Planning to head to Hawaii sometime this winter? You will now be able to hop on a flight out of Aspen at 10:10 AM, and be on the beaches of Maui by 4:30 that afternoon after a single transfer at LAX, a journey that used to require an ordeal of multiple connections! From Denver, United's winter schedule currently consists of 13 daily flights in each direction, comparable to what was finally offered last year. Additional frequencies on the weekends from Denver, as well as from Los Angeles and Chicago, will likely be added to the winter schedules over the next month or so. The same holds true for United's nonstop service from San Francisco, with as many as four flights per week offered last winter as well as this summer. As those flights come online, I do plan to furnish further updates and even flight schedules as the final versions start to come together. *Operated by United Express carrier SkyWest Airlines These new flights are now open for sale at www.united.com, through travel agencies worldwide, or United Reservations Sales at 1-800-241-6522.
