ON-MOUNTAIN DINING: Sam's Smokehouse

Slated to open for the 2008/09 season, the new $9 million restaurant on Sam's Knob will seat about 160 people indoors with another 50 seats outdoors on the deck. The 7,800-square-foot restaurant at the top of the Village Express six passenger lift and the Sam's Knob quad will feature sit-down service by staff, a barbecue-style smokehouse (along with other fare), a dedicated espresso bar, and a wall of windows on the west side with spectacular views of Garret's Peak, Mount Daly, and the surrounding backcountry.

Lynn Britt Cabin. The historic Lynn Britt Cabin is now under the management of the famed Aspen Highlands Cloud 9 restaurant and opened for lunch daily and special snowcat dinner rides.

ON MOUNTAIN IMPROVEMENTS: 2008-2009 Season
 New Sheer Bliss Lift. Slated to open for the 2008/09 season, this new $7 million quad lift will carry riders 2,212 vertical feet, 155 feet more than the old Sheer Bliss chair and will have a ride time of just over nine minutes. The lift can carry 2,000 people per hour.

NEW BASE VILLAGE DINING: 2008-2009 Season
 

The Sweet Life, located in a landmark red barn, is a two-story sweets shop and family diner that includes such unique touches as over 250 flavors of ice cream made on-sight, an 8-top S'mores table where the goods are delivered by train, and finger-lickin' finger food.

Restaurant Junk and nightclub Liquid Sky are slated to open next door for the 2008/09 winter season by Scott DeGraff, co-owner of the N9NE Group (N9NE Steakhouse, Ghostbar, Nove Italiano, and Moon Nightclub). Renovations over past three years total nearly $65 million

TREEHOUSE KIDS' ADVENTURE CENTER NOW OPEN
 

The Treehouse Kids' Adventure Center Experience

As the new hub of ski and snowboard learning, The Treehouse brings the outdoors inside, inviting children to begin their alpine journey through hands-on, interactive activities. Whether nestled in the colorful Butterfly Room, wriggling in the Fox Den, jumping in Trout Haven or crawling through Beaver Lodge, each room's design is tailored for a specific age group.

Eagle Peak, a wide open, multi-purpose room will be the center of activity for families and kids of all ages. It will house the rental shop, overnight ski/snowboard storage, full kitchen and cafeteria, and a large space for group entertainment such as themed teen and family nights. Eagle Peak is located on the plaza level with direct access to the slopes. The convertible roof will be used for an après and evening activity zone.

The Rennissance of Snowmass ~ Base Village
 

Changes Have Begun... The long-awaited Snowmass construction has started. Over the next few years, Snowmass will not only see the addition of a vibrant NEW BASE VILLAGE, but also a series of ON-MOUNTAIN IMPROVEMENTS and new places for gatherings and celebrations.

The new Snowmass Resort is being developed by Related WestPac, a joint venture partnership between Related Companies, a fully integrated private real estate development company, and WestPac Investments Colorado LLC, a diversified Real Estate Investment and development company.
